Hey everybody, me and my two favourite girls in the whole world which are my wife and my 3 1/2 year daughter. Spent an awesome day at my two favourite day trip destinations. Niagara Falls and Marineland. And I thought that this is such a great day trip destination for people from southern Ontario and Americans from all over the U.S. And I ‘m sure that this must be the case, being that American Canadian border is like 20 minutes from Niagara Falls. Never been to the American side but no matter which side you’re checking out this magnificent wonder. It’s still a pretty awesome view and such a great vacation trip. There are so many reasons why I love Niagara Falls. The shopping, the great hotels (Marriot Fallsview for one), the food, the attractions. But the main reason why I like Niagara Falls is because that it is me and my wife’s honeymoon spot. It was September 22 and only a week and a half after that terrible day and we didn’t want to fly any where. So Niagara Falls was the place we settled on. Now they have more then one state of the art casinos for the gambler in the family. I’m not a gambler but they have something for anyone. For me there are a couple of really good cigar shops in Niagara Falls.
Now Marineland, this great destination is like 10 minutes away from Niagara Falls. If you’ve never been to Marineland I feel I should warn you to bring stuff like sun screen, a hat and wear comfortable clothing. Anything else you can think of when walking around in the blazing sun from one attraction to the other. You can bring or buy water there. I also must warn you we went in the middle of the week, my wife had a week off and we went on a Wednesday afternoon. I’m sure it’s totally different on the weekends. Marineland is a lot more then aquatic animal attractions. They have reindeer and elk pens. The buffalo pens and my daughters favourite. The bear pen, and for just $2.50 you can feed the bears. I went to the stand to purchase this “Bear Food” and the person handed me some really sweet smelling stuff in an ice cream cone. I asked her jokingly if this was safe for human consumption? She told me to go ahead and try it. After trying it we both started laughing. It was Corn Chex. A breakfast cereal, my daughter was feeding these bruins cereal. But the topper was the main attraction of their fun filled show. Basically it’s dolphins, sea lions, beluga whales and the walruses. Doing some very impressive tricks. By your tickets online and skip the long admission lineups. And no I don’t work for the Niagara area tourism board. LOL!
